Yesterday I felt very lucky to sneak peak into Gurli's oven full of lovely green and black ceramic teapots and an amazing one-off. It was an exciting moment when the lid was lifted revealing a well full of unbroken pieces, nothing exploded or discolored. The little penguins looked very curious to get out of their warm nest.
The processes of making ceramics is very different from the ones I know, and I have the deepest respect for Gurli's skills, especially her knowledge on experimental glazing.
Here is a film on her series of black teapots and how they are made, we are so lucky as to have a few for sale in the shop.
